Dr. Cătălin Predoiu started in 1991 as barrister but after several years of practice he decided to focus on corporate law. In 2007 he was ranked as ”leading attorney” in its field in Romania by the international catalogues ”Chambers”, ”Chambers Global”, and ”Legal 500”. Starting with 1995 he launched, built, and developed alongside his partners two of the most successfully practices on the Romanian market – “Racoți – Predoiu Law Firm” (1995 – 2006) and “Zamfirescu Racoți Predoiu Law Firm” (2007) – in which he acted as managing partner. Prior to his public career as Minister of Justice (2008 – 2012), he developed an academic career as commercial law lecturer at the Law School of the University of Bucharest (1994 – 2007). In 2003 he received the title of “doctor in law” summa cum laudae with a thesis in the field of applicable law in banking companies. He published substantial paperwork on commercial contracts and commercial companies. Notably, he received the award ”Rene Cassin” from the European Court of Justice (1991), the ”I. L. Georgescu” Award from the Romanian Jurists Union (2001), and the ”Simion Bărnuțiu” Award from the Romanian Academy (2003).
Dr. Predoiu counsels and assists Stoian – Predoiu’ s clients with legal opinions and legal advice on various corporate projects and civil litigation cases, by structuring and drafting complex contracts and corporate documents. He also supports clients with strategic planning, drafts regulations, and provides counseling on public advocacy. He acquired superior negotiation skills and complex experience during his private and public careers, which manifest in closing sophisticated deals for its clients, solving amiable divergences between parties, and in providing effective representation vis – a – vis any third parties, including national and international public authorities.
